Personal Profile
I have operated in the public sector for twenty-four years, in that time gaining wide experience of working with senior officers and councillors, making me adept at handling the political sensitivities required for functioning in a local government arena.
Between 1988 and 1996, I played a major role in an annual pricing round of compulsorily tendered grounds maintenance contracts, worth circa £12 million per annum. I therefore have an established track-record and a wealth of experience in the field of Compulsory Competitive Tendering.
Groundserve
Since its launch in 1996, Groundserve has been involved in many projects, including tender pricing and benchmarking, advising on tender strategy, building performance targets, carrying out operational health checks and tender evaluations, developing tender documentation, and lately advising on Best Value policies. Groundserve has been invited back to carry out additional work by several authorities, which is a measure of our satisfaction quotient.
